I’m part of a monthly book club so I love visiting with book clubs. I enjoy sharing about the story behind the story and giving insights beyond the reader discussions. Plus, book clubs usually involve food!

I ask that everyone reads the book prior to my visit. This ensures that most of the book club members liked the book enough to invite me and it’s more fun for all of us to engage in the conversation. I also know that some people will love my book while others will not. That’s OK. Everyone can learn something that interests them when I talk about the workings of a writer’s life.

I can provide topics in advance to engage discussion, but I love when members ask their own questions. I also will talk about the research, the writing process, and the journey of getting published.

I can travel up to an hour each way for a visit. I can also meet via Skype. I don’t charge any fee for my time, but I do ask that members of the book club purchase my book from a local book seller or Amazon.
