I Love Visiting Schools!

I was a social worker in a Chicago Public School for ten years and being in front of students again really excites me! This time, however, it’s all about fun, reading, and learning how to tell stories!

Literacy & Reading Nights

I am available for Literacy/Reading Nights. Literacy/Reading Nights are free of charge — all I ask is that you advertise my book and allow me to sell it on site.

Author Visits & Speaking

I differentiate the curriculum to suite your needs and I will address the core curriculum state standards for English/Writing. I have a CPS vendor number. Please contact me via the form below if you’re interested in having me visit your school. If prices are a bit out of your price range contact me to talk about options for your school.

I can also present during your PAC/Parent Meetings about Cultivating a Culture of Literacy at Home, the Benefits of Visual Narratives (Comics/Graphic Novels) for ELL Learners, or any literacy topic that is important to your school community. The in-person speaking fee is $100.
